the main building of the palace where it has the Hall of Mirrors has beautiful long hallways, and this is the most famous one from the movie.

this is a stairway to a ballroom, specially reserved for their funders, like Louis Vuitton.

on our way into the main building

every edge of the room is filled with beautifully carved stones and these tall doors with golden details just make you want to stay in your sleep and dream of it forever.

Salon D'Hercule
So this room above is the Salon of Hercules. This was originally a chapel, which was then changed into a ballroom, because King Louis XV thought the Hall of Mirrors was too big and the Mars Salon was too small. You know what they say...human beings are never satisfied.
Salon De L'abondance
Yes, that's right. Below is the Salon of Abundance. This was the room used by the King and the Queen for their afternoon refreshments. Coffee, tea, wine, liquors, and everything else would be served in this room. Later, this room was used also as a game room of the King. For private guests, this room was used to show off their bedazzling silver plates and golden vases. Imagine being so rich, you have a special room to show off your wealth.

Salon De Venus
Another room for the King and Queen to have their afternoon snacks, like marzipan and exotic fruits. It says that the ceilings are full of paintings that symbolize the Goddess of Love.

Salon De Diane
This room was named after the goddess of the hunt. Apparently, this room was also known as the "applause room" by the late royalties, because of the King's interest in billiard and every time he won, the ladies would applaud crazily. Since King Louis XIV was said to be an excellent hunter, this room made total sense for him. And oh just can't imagine how proud he must be coming into this room that's named after the goddess of the hunt, and then winning all those pool games.

Salon De Mars
Salon De Mars was used for their guards (Jesus even the guards' room was fancy af), hence they named it "Mars" as of God of War. Like any other salons in this palace, this room is full of paintings of the late Kings and Queens. But I personally love this room, I love the red curtains and red wallpaper, mixed with the golden ceilings and frames of the colorful paintings. It's so sexy! :P
