Stockholm's City Hall
Stockholm's City Hall

We did a trip to the City Hall. We almost didn't go here because he said it's "too touristic", but I'm a tourist yo! I wanted to do what typical tourists do!

The City Hall is located close to the Central Station. We actually went here right after we arrived. We joined the 3pm tour with a local guide who went through the whole place, and telling us all these stories no one listened to anyways. He was young, probably still in uni, maintained no eye contact, half-asleep and talked really fast. And all of us (mostly Asian tourists) were just nodding and taking selfies, what a tour!

Since we were here in winter (Swedish spring), the trees were still dead, so the garden looked pretty brown. But I love how it's neatly designed and maintained.

Loving the brick walls

This is my favorite room! It's covered in gold. Every room has a theme but this one is absolutely beautiful. It made me feel like an Egyptian royal family :D

Sweden is a really interesting city, cause they have a bunch of Thai restaurants. Like, I could find a Thai restaurant (big or small) every 15 minutes. So, where did we go when we wanted to have a non-European meal? A Thai place!

This is like both of the things I love mixed together; noodles and tom yum soup. The prawns were fresh and the soup was tasty. Ok I'm craving for one right now.

This guy right here can't eat spicy food (those of you who know him will know). But how could you resist not having it? This restaurant is also selling sushi btw, you can see the sushi showcase behind with fresh salmon and tuna.

On our way to the city central, we found this on a shop's window. We thought it was pretty accurate.

He mentioned earlier that the city central was going to be "packed" but "packed" in Stockholm is like Lebaran / Hari Raya in Indo. This is rush hour Stockholm.

Before we left home, we made sure we made the best out of our last day, while the weather was on us that day. We left home with a lot of souvenirs on our hands, truth to be told, I couldn't handle myself not buying the cute little miniature of the buildings in Gamla Stan. Hopefully our next trip here (which will be close by now), we'll do less touristic things and more local things. I hope by then my Swedish level would be Kindergarten level, at least I can by then say something like "I want this food", "I want to pee", "No, I don't want meatballs".
