guest list

Not an easy task to list this one down. We had to keep our list short, and it's not because we didn't care for anyone else except our main family. You see, firstly, we always thought this day was our family reunion day.

My family never met his, and this was the perfect opportunity.

We wanted this day to be as intimate as we could. So we invited our family members who we felt so fond of.

Some could make it, some was bound to distance and time.

Since our friends are also our family, we wouldn't want to leave them behind.

Some came, some had school they needed to attend do, some had work,

Some had family problems, and some had to be abroad.

But we funded our own party, so we had a certain limit.

It was hard and no bad intentions were made.

If we had unlimited cash, we would have all our close friends and pay for their stay.

But we're not Jeff Bezos.

Lille is such a small town, that you could walk around it for almost a day. We arrived in the day around 11am, and explored the city center in hours. It was a Sunday when we arrived so pretty much all the shops were closed.

Most cafes in the square have outdoor seatings, which made it feel "communal" and you can watch people dance in the middle of the square as the town gets darker.
